Makeup Tutorial: Bronzed Glow

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Walgreens through their partnership with POPSUGAR Select. While I was compensated to write a post about Walgreens Beauty, all opinions are my own.

Since I am a tad bit obsessed with makeup and New York Fashion Week is coming up, I thought it’d be a good idea to do a step-by-step tutorial on how to re-create one of my favorite looks. The beauty of this look is that it’s super simple to do! I collaborated with Walgreens to bring you a look that is mostly using drugstore products. Wouldn’t it just be wonderful if you could have a go-to look that takes about five minutes, stays on the face throughout the day, and looks great everywhere? Well, that’s why I’m here to help!

Makeup is always one of the main trendsetters at Fashion Week and this season, I’m predicting “strobing” will be a big trend for the Spring/Summer ’16 season. We have known about contouring for a while now and it’s all about defining facial features. With strobing, it’s a much more forgiving way to bring shape and focus to the face. It’s all about a glowy look and using light to spotlight features of the face.
To start, grab your favorite foundation and apply to your face. Make sure you also use a primer prior to adding your foundation because it will not only make the foundation look flawless but act as a barrier and protect your skin from the makeup application.

I also add a little concealer to cover up those dark circles after a long day! I’m using the Boots Botanics Radiance Highlighter Pen to add a touch of radiance above my cheekbones as well as reduce the appearance of the dark shadows. It’s a very lightweight formula so I just use the tips of my fingers to blend it directly on the skin.
Now comes my favorite part, time to give my face some dimension and glow. I lightly brush Boots No7 Perfectly Bronzed Mosaic Bronzer to give my skin a warm golden shimmer. I apply it to my forehead, down the bridge of my nose, and sweep it under my cheekbones. Since this is such a beautiful sun-kissed color, I add a bit of blush to the apples of my cheeks.
Now on to the eyes! I apply Circa Beauty Color Saturated Eye Crayon on the lids and this acts as my eye shadow base and shadow. It’s a neutral shade, which I love, and it keeps it natural. My eyes are lined with Circa Beauty Vivid Vinyl Eye Lining Fluid and I opted for my classic cat eye. If you want a more subtle look, use a brown color that has a softer approach. Finish the eyes with several coats of mascara, No7 Lash Impact Mascara 7ml, and you’re all done with the eyes!
I added a matte lip color as the base for my lips, and then covered my lips with it entirely. I finished it off with the Circa Beauty Lustrous Shine Lip Polish for a super glossy pop of color.

Love you all!
