Layering 2.0
This
post is sponsored by Target.
Fall is the season for
layering and it’s something I always look forward to. Living in Los Angeles, we
experience warm weather too often and I always miss the layering aspect of a
cold winter. Layering can make any outfit more interesting while also keeping
you warm. From cozy sweaters to scarves and coats, these are some of the items
you need in your closet to elevate your layered looks.
Layering for the cold
season can be a challenge. It’s best to take baby steps when first trying it
out and starting off your initial layer with a basic. As I build my core
outfit, I always love to include three elements: color, shape, and texture.
Since you will be layering multiple fabrics, prints, and textures on one
another, I always keep the look more neutral with a pop or keep my pieces
within the same color palette.
I layered a coat and
accessories with my first printed top. I chose to pair a blanket cape with a
faux fur as my second layered look. I kept it simple with a white button up to
not take away from the printed statement piece.
Have fun layering!

Boots Of The Day
This post is sponsored by Target.
When I am frequently asked about my favorite item for fall and what I cannot live without, my answer is always boots. Boots are a staple for fall and winter wardrobes, and I have collaborated with Target to show how I styled three different shapes in three different ways.
When I am frequently asked about my favorite item for fall and what I cannot live without, my answer is always boots. Boots are a staple for fall and winter wardrobes, and I have collaborated with Target to show how I styled three different shapes in three different ways.
The boot of the season
is the over-the-knee boot, and I opted for a bold color. This shape is a statement piece, and it can
instantly transform your outfit into chic. I love this plum color, and I chose a skinny scarf and hat to make my
outfit pop more. I felt like I was a part of the Dallas TV show and a true horseback
rider.
The ankle bootie is the
next best shape that can be dressed up yet also dressed down. I chose to style
two different kinds of boots. My first choice was dressier,
and it has a pointy heel and toe. This reflects a dressy look, and I paired it with a pencil skirt and a
cropped sweater for a night out for drinks in downtown. The second pair of
boots is more causal because the fringe detail
and chunky heel gave me comfort and style to get through the day. I paired it
with a printed bow top and an oversized vest for an errand-filled
weekday.
Target truly is a one-stop shop for me,
and I absolutely love it! These boots were not only affordable,
but also so stylish!

Neutrals for Fall
I am so excited to come back to my normal posting schedule and I have to apologize in advance for the absence. I was terribly sick and it took a big toll on me and my workload has been bigger than ever. I couldn't wait to share this post with you guys because it's actually different than most of my wardrobe. Although I own a few hundred white button-up shirts, I love a colored ensemble.
I chose to opt in for a muted and neutral ensemble and have my bag be the statement piece.
I paired my double breasted camel blazer with black and white pieces and threw on a burgundy suede cross body bag to add texture and some color.
