Growing
up, I remember my mom telling me a quote that I absolutely love; “you can have
anything you want in life if you dress for it”. There is an undeniable
connection between dressing the part to feel confident for your next
opportunity and finding the key pieces to invest in. It’s all about classics
and staple pieces that are innovative enough to make us feel our best.
These key
pieces never go out of style and will play a big part in your preparation
process to land that big dream interview. The wardrobe of my dreams
always starts with a classic blazer and a wide leg trouser.
Growing
up in a family of all boys, I always relied on Ted Baker for unique and tailored pieces for my brother and boyfriend. With both of them always dressing in tailored suits and various dress shirts for work, Ted Baker has and is still my first stop for all of their fashionable needs.
When
asked to partner with Ted Baker, I shrieked from excitement because not only could I bring my “dress the part”motto to life but this time I could look past my usual men’s section and happily browse through their amazing women’s selections. After a long hour at the store, I did manage to grab a few things for the boys but I was able to bring my vision to life with this textured tailored jacket and crepe culottes.
It’s
important to build your wardrobe around key pieces that are classic and also
will make you feel your best as you embark on the journey of your career goals.
